Uber, DiDi, Bolt and YourRide — collected and checked July 2026
Last checked: July 2026
Every rideshare discount we can find that actually applies in New Zealand, in one place. These are collected from public sources — operator sign-up pages, referral schemes and deal sites — not supplied to us by the companies themselves. Some are automatic, some need a code, and a few need a referral link from an existing user.
If you want to know which app is cheapest for a specific trip before you apply any of this, the comparison tool shows all four side by side.

30% off your first ride
Applied automatically when you sign up. Capped at NZ$8.
Check before you book. Promo codes expire without notice, and many are limited to new accounts or a single region. We collect these from public sources and check them periodically, but we can't guarantee any of them will still work. Always confirm the discount has applied in the app before you confirm the ride.
Which app has the best deal right now?
If you're in Auckland and have never used Bolt, their referral offer is community-reported as the biggest discount going — around 70% off seven rides, though you need a referral link to use it. Those terms come from deal aggregators rather than Bolt, so confirm the discount in the app before you book.
If you'd rather not chase a referral link, DiDi's 40% off your first two rides applies automatically at signup and needs nothing from you.
Once the new-user offers are used up, the picture changes: discounts stop mattering and base rates take over. That's the point where comparing prices per trip is worth more than any code, because the cheapest app genuinely changes depending on where you're going and what time it is.
