1. About FareFinder
FareFinder ("we", "us", "our") is a free rideshare price comparison tool for New Zealand, operated by Bailey Hicks. The app is available at www.farefinder.co.nz. By using FareFinder, you agree to these Terms of Service.
2. What FareFinder does
FareFinder compares estimated ride prices across Uber, DiDi, Bolt, and YourRide. We show:
- Live price estimates from Uber (where API access is available)
- Estimated fares for DiDi, Bolt, and YourRide based on their published NZ rate cards
- Approximate driver ETAs based on simulated data
- Promotional codes and deals collected from public sources
FareFinder is a comparison tool only. We do not book rides, process payments, or guarantee the accuracy of any price shown.
3. Price accuracy
Prices displayed are estimates. Actual fares may differ due to surge pricing, route changes, promotions, or updates to an app's rate card. Always confirm the final price in the relevant rideshare app before booking. FareFinder accepts no liability for fare differences.
4. Promo codes and deals
Promo codes and deals are sourced from public information and may expire or change without notice. We cannot guarantee any code will work at the time you use it. Always verify in the relevant app before booking.
5. No affiliation
FareFinder is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or partnered with Uber, DiDi, Bolt, YourRide, or any other rideshare provider. All brand names and logos are the property of their respective owners and are used for identification purposes only.
6. Your account
FareFinder stores your name, email address (if provided), and usage preferences (saved places, trip history, dark mode) in your browser's local storage. This data stays on your device. We do not operate a backend user database. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use FareFinder for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to scrape, reverse engineer, or copy any part of the app
- Interfere with the app's functionality or any connected services
- Use FareFinder to misrepresent prices to third parties
8. Limitation of liability
FareFinder is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by New Zealand law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the app, including inaccurate price estimates, expired promo codes, or failure of third-party rideshare apps.
9. Third-party links and apps
FareFinder links to third-party rideshare apps and websites. We have no control over their content or practices. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of FareFinder after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.
